    *Pay starting at $13 to $15/hour for experienced Insulators & Overtime hours available!*

    Weatherization Technician is responsible for performing a variety of activities to weatherize home and make them more energy efficient. 


    • Install energy efficient upgrades to residential homes.
    • Attain and maintain certification required by program administrators



    • Post – Secondary education or Certification or 5 years of on the job training in the construction field
    • EPA RRP Certification or DOE Lead Safe Weatherization Certification a plus
    • Maintain a valid driver's license or Chauffer’s License is a plus
    • Experience in the construction industry, including carpentry, electrical and HVAC systems
    • Able to climb up and down a ladder, scaffolding and work within the faming of the building
    • Able to work in tight and confined places, example attics and crawlspaces 
    • Able to perform basic math skills 
    • Ability to work in a fast -paced environment 
    • Able to work independently or with a crew 

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to use common hand tools; including scissors, utility knife, saws, pliers, and stapling hammer
    • Must be able to read job instructions and record materials used per each work/job order
    • Must be able to work in tight places including attics and crawlspaces
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
    • Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding 
    • Must be able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees to install insulation
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time


    Work Environment

    • Works in a construction environment; able to adapt to weather conditions
