    The Purchasing Analyst supports Purchasing management in the negotiation of favorable vendor pricing for non-insulation products, services and ancillary equipment.


     


    Pay to be commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities


    • Prepare and maintain spreadsheet comparisons of product costs between vendors to support the negotiation/renegotiation efforts of Purchasing management.

    • Sustain and develop cooperative relationships with branch purchasers by:


      • Developing a knowledge of the products.

      • Understanding the branch’s purchasing needs.

      • Advising the branch on its purchasing options.

      • Assisting with supplier-related issues.


    • Maintain up-to-date price lists for all applicable products in Purchasing Department’s folder on the X-drive and on the Company’s intranet so it can be accessed by the appropriate users.

    • Maintain data base of contact information for all major vendors.

    • Maintain data base of all applicable vendor agreements and rebate programs on the X-drive.

    • Assist in maintaining log of savings accomplishments by the Purchasing Department.

    • Maintain quarterly/annual master rebate tracking schedule.

    • Test the clerical accuracy of all vendor rebate calculations, including the allocation to all affected branches, for Senior Management review, approval and submission to A/P department.

    • Prepare purchases analyses by vendor, by branch, for selected products on an annual or “as needed” basis.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications


    • Bachelor’s degree

    • 1-2 years related experience, preferably with a building materials company

    • Understanding of purchasing process, pricing, payment terms, etc.

    • Experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook


     


    *Position requires a Drug Test and Motor Vehicle Report to be completed, contingent upon employment.
