    The Infrastructure Engineer develops, designs, supports, and maintains infrastructure systems as directed by IT Infrastructure Manager while maintaining an environment of 100% uptime and ensuring that customer service standards are met. We are looking for a self-motivated team player with a willingness to learn new technologies. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must possess time management skills that will allow for the prioritization and re-prioritization of tasks as needed. Able to work independently as well as collaborate with team members with minimal supervision.

     

      

    Pay to be commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with infrastructure team to optimize, troubleshoot and maintain our production network
    • Understand, document and diagnose infrastructure issues especially VLAN, Name Resolution and bandwidth related.
    • Perform and analyze packet captures to resolve connectivity and reliability concerns.
    • Integrate new hardware and applications related to network and systems infrastructure.
    • Research relevant hardware and software tools that will help ensure infrastructure performance and security.
    • Create reference architecture documentation to be used by technical support.
    • Help desk support, including monitoring, assigning, identifying, documenting, and following up with help desk ticket applications.
    • Identify, diagnose/analyze, and resolve technical problems.
    • Build/install/maintain infrastructure systems and servers.
    • Assist in the diagnosis of network issues as requested.
    • Data Center and server maintenance.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    None

    Qualifications

     

    • At least 3 years building, supporting, and troubleshooting local network environments and servers.
    • At least 1 year design, building and maintaining wireless networks.
    • Information Technology degree or one to two years related experience and/or training.
    • Experience supporting multiple sites or similar user and system processing requirements.
    • Available on an off-hours basis for on-call support rotation.
    • Able to travel periodically and/or on an emergency basis.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills.
    • Able to provide professional written reports / business correspondence
    • Able to produce clear procedure manuals.

    • Windows Server OS (2008/R2 / 2012/R2 / 2016)

    • SonicWall Firewalls
    • Fundamental Networking Concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QOS)
    • Cisco Networking (Routing and Switching)
    • Wireless Network Design
    • Backup Systems
    • SAN and NAS Storage Technologies
    • Disaster Recovery
