Compensation: $16 - $22/hr. depending on experience

As a Insulation Technician, you will focus on installing insulation (fiberglass or rock wool batts) to exterior walls and ceilings. Your day-to-day "office" won't always look the same! However, you can count on the process to provide some consistency: 

• Communicate with homeowners
• Prep the attic for insulation: sealing attic top plates/penetrations, baffling birdie holes, and attic hatches
• Blow both fiberglass and cellulose insulation
• Install insulation in knee-walls properly
• Load the insulation machine hopper
• Take pride in your work - maintain a clean working space and make things look like they should be on display at a store!
• Follow safety protocols
• Help develop new insulation installers the "Ideal" way!

• Proficiency using hand tools
• Experience working in any construction/landscaping field
• Ability to withstand heat in the hot KS summer
• Must live within 25-30 minutes of our main office
• Serious work ethic looking to advance within a company and open to learning new methods
• Knowledge of building science principles a major plus, but not required; must be willing to learn

**Weatherization and insulation experience a major plus**

• Lift 50 lbs for one minute straight
• Fit in tight spaces (such as an attic) for extended periods of time
