What You Can Expect

As a blown in insulation technician, you will be responsible for blowing the exterior walls and attics before drywall, paneling or plaster are put in place. In addition, your day-to-day may include:

  • Loading and logging materials onto a truck
  • Drill and fills from interior or exterior
  • Hanging insulweb fabric for exterior walls
  • Loading blown in machines
  • Erecting ladders and scaffolds
  • Check netting for areas that may need blocking 
  • Check density in wall areas

To Be Successful

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2-5 years experience in the construction industry, experience installing insulation a plus
  • Experience with exterior/interior painting
  • Valid driver’s license 

For Your Safety

  • Work in tight places or in high places
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Frequently bend, twist and turn body at shoulders, waist, and knees
