As a Drywall Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of drywall materials and supplies to job sites. You will work closely with our project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate the logistics and scheduling of drywall shipments. Your exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and meeting project deadlines.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate and schedule the delivery of drywall materials and supplies to job sites.
  • Communicate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to determine delivery requirements and timelines.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to ensure an adequate supply of drywall materials.
  • Track inventory levels and place orders for additional materials as needed.
  • Arrange transportation logistics, including coordinating with trucking companies and drivers.
  • Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of delivered materials, reporting any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, invoices, and other related documentation.
  • Monitor and adhere to project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of drywall materials to support construction progress.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the logistics operations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous experience in construction logistics, expediting, or related fields.
  • Solid understanding of drywall materials and their specifications.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with logistics software or systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Use common hand tools
  • Work in tight or high places
  • Climb ladders or scaffolding 
  • Lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, and knees 
  • Stand for extended periods of time
