Installed Building Products (IBP) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Project Manager to oversee and manage IT projects. The Senior Technical Project Manager will oversee and manage IT projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, while also managing stakeholder relationships and mitigating risks

 

Roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the planning and implementation of IT sponsored projects (including but not limited to software/application development, IT infrastructure, & Security) including defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Manage project changes and risks, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Facilitate the definition of project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure that project artifacts are maintained and updated.
  • Lead and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.

 

Project Assignments:

 

  • Data Center hosting and collocation: Migration of existing Production and Development Data centers to an offsite managed location.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: The implementation of a new platform and process to address all needs for IT DR and Continuity.
  • End user data organization and management: Migration and decommission of legacy local windows file shares to a hosted cloud provider. Migration of Synology NAS units in the field. Proper storage location of certain data types (PII, sensitive business data, and general files).
  • Identity Access Management: Implementation of a new platform to manage all aspects of user login in a single system, integrating all identity processes within support group
  • Physical headquarters move physical security, cameras, network connectivity, phone system.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior role managing IT projects.
  • Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in software development, IT infrastructure, or other related areas.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale IT projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
