We are seeking a motivated and skilled Industrial Insulation Mechanic to join our team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with a variety of insulating materials, including fiberglass, foam glass, urethane, silicone, mineral wool, ceramic wool, and rubber insulation products.
  • Install insulation materials using power and hand tools.
  • Maintain and update your personal toolbox.
  • Handle, distribute, and store materials safely and efficiently.
  • Review the Job Hazard Assessment (JHA) each day before starting work. If a JHA is not available, notify the project manager immediately and conduct a visual inspection.
  • Keep the work area clean and dispose of waste materials throughout the day to eliminate potential hazards.
  • Prioritize job safety and ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Report any issues to the Foreman, Safety Director, or HR Manager.
  • Work independently and complete daily tasks according to the work schedule.
  • Be willing to travel and have reliable transportation.
  • Be available for out-of-town and overnight assignments, which may last several weeks.
  • Be open to working overtime, including nights and weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Accurately and promptly complete timecards.
  • Handle relationships with customers, coworkers, and supervisors professionally and respectfully, maintaining clear communication.
  • Maintain consistent attendance, reporting promptly and notifying in advance of any absences if possible.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • 0-2 years of insulation experience preferred.
  • Any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
  • Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
  • Demonstrates eagerness to learn and develop skills.
  • Learns basic tool operation and safety, types of insulation and their applications, and equipment terms and uses.
  • Must complete initial safety training (12 hours), OSHA 10-hour course, and annual refresher training, including but not limited to HAZCOM and fall protection.

 

Compensation:

  • Pay range: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
  • Flexible pay based on experience
