What You Can Expect

As an Aerobarrier Installer, you will be responsible for installing Aerobarrier, an innovative air sealing technology designed to improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality in residential and commercial buildings.  Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Conduct site inspections to assess the layout and conditions for Aerobarrier installation.
  • Set up equipment and prepare the building for air sealing.
  • Apply Aerobarrier sealant using specialized equipment according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor the sealing process to achieve optimal results, adjusting equipment settings as needed.
  • Work efficiently to complete installations within scheduled timeframes while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure proper sealing and identify any areas needing touch-up.
  • Perform blower door tests to measure air leakage reduction and validate the effectiveness of the Aerobarrier system.
  • Address any issues or concerns raised by project managers, contractors, or homeowners regarding the installation.
  • Document installation details, including pre-and post-installation photographs, measurements, and test results.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and hours worked on each project.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and participate in safety training sessions.

To Be Successful

  • Previous experience in construction, insulation installation, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and installation techniques.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Schedule: Monday – Friday, some OT required.

 

Pay: $23-$28 per hour piece rate

 

Position requires a drug test be completed, contingent upon employment and a background check if applicable.

For Your Safety

  • Use common hand tools
  • Work in tight places including attics and crawlspaces
  • Lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Climb ladders and scaffolding 
  • Able to bend, twist, and turn body at shoulders, waist, knees
  • Stand for extended periods of time
