 As a Gutter Installer, you will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing gutters, downspouts, and other related components on residential and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for ensuring that gutters are properly attached to the building and pitched correctly for proper water drainage.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take accurate measurements of the building's roofline to determine the necessary length and number of gutters needed
  • Cut gutters to size using specialized tools, such as a metal saw or guillotine cutter
  • Install hangers, brackets, and other support structures to ensure that gutters are securely attached to the building
  • Pitch gutters correctly to ensure proper water drainage
  • Install downspouts and related components
  • Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain a safe and organized work area
  • Follow all company policies and procedures

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a gutter installer
  • Strong knowledge of gutter installation techniques and tools
  • Ability to work at heights and on roofs
  • Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills    

 

Physical Demands: 

The physical demands of a gutter installer include lifting and carrying heavy materials (up to 50 lbs), bending, squatting, and climbing ladders. The role requires working at heights, including on roofs, as well as reaching overhead to install gutters and downspouts. Manual dexterity is necessary for using hand tools and power tools to cut, fit, and secure components. Installers must also work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, while ensuring adherence to safety standards.
